The Copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." Biographical / Historical

This collection of citation cards was begun by Kenneth M. Wilson when he worked at Sturbridge Village. Copies of the citation cards were brought with him when he came to The Corning Museum of Glass in 1963 to serve as a curator. Additional cards were added by Wilson and later by The Corning Museum of Glass associate curator for American glass, Jane Shadel Spillman, through the 1970s.
