Leatrice Minzter Papers
Scope and Contents
The Leatrice Minzter Papers consist primarily of her collected records pertaining to her work in the Metropolitan Contemporary Glass Group, an organization of glass art collectors in the New York City area, and the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass, a non-profit dedicated to promoting glass art and educating about the field of contemporary glass. Materials include announcements, meeting minutes, newsletters, correspondence, event records, field trip records, membership rosters, and some financial records. Minzter's records from her term as president of the Art Alliance for Contemporary Glass may be found in Box 4.
Researchers should be aware that the records are not complete, nor are they considered the official records of these two organizations.
Also in Minzter's collection are materials she collected from other regional glass collectors' associations, including the Florida Glass Art Alliance, the Metropolitan Detroit Contemporary Glass Group, and the Ohio Contemporary Glass Alliance.
