Scope and Contents

This collection consists of an accumulation of materials about the lives and work of Czech glass artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová created to produce the documentary film _The Glass Dimension_. It includes film footage; correspondence, essays, translations, and project details; and interviews. The collection focuses on Libenský and Brychtová, but also includes documents related to Dale Chihuly's Prague Show (1991-1992).

Conditions Governing Access

Folder 12 is restricted from public research until 2050. Staff should remove Folder 12 from the box prior to delivering materials to researchers.

The remainder of the collection is open for public research. Researchers must make an appointment to view the collection.

Conditions Governing Use

The Copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. Biographical / Historical

Terry Moyemont is a documentary filmmaker based near Seattle, Washington. Until 1990, his work focused primarily on filming dance performances. In 1990, he set out to create a documentary film on the lives and work of Czech glass artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová. The film _The Glass Dimension_ was completed in 1994.
