Scope and Contents
Materials in this record group include minutes, dockets and other related documents from The Corning Museum of Glass Board of Trustees meetings, Executive Committee meetings, meetings of Members, and other committee meetings.
According to the Bylaws, Members consist of incorporators and other persons elected by the Membership at any meeting. There must be at least five Members at all times. The election of the Board of Trustees is held at the Annual Meeting of Members. Originally, there were to be a minimum of five Trustees, not to exceed twenty-five. Those numbers were later changed to a minimum of six and no more than thirty. Trustees serve a three-year term. the Executive Committee is appointed by the Board of Trustees from among their number. There are to be no less than five on the Executive Committee, one of whom is the President of the Corporation.
The record group is arranged into three series; Bylaws and Meeting Minutes, Meeting Dockets, and Committee Minutes.
