Biography
Stanislav Libenský was born in Czechoslovakia in 1922. Along with his wife and artistic partner, Jaroslava Brychtová, he influenced generations of glass makers in Europe and abroad. He had trained as a painter and brought a classical artisitc sense to his glass work. Libenský was widely recoginzed for his teaching at vocational school in the glass-making center Novy Bor. While he travelled widely throughout the world, Libenský and Brychtová lived in Czechoslovakia (eventually the Czech Republic) their entire lives.
Libenský and Brychtová have work in several major art museums, including the Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG).
Libenský died of lung cancer in 2002.

This collection consists of an accumulation of materials about the lives and work of Czech glass artists Stanislav Libenský and Jaroslava Brychtová created to produce the documentary film _The Glass Dimension_.
