Biography

Born in 1893, Virginia Dadswell Sturm was a music editor, critic, writer, researcher, lecturer and performer. She devoted years of research on the glass harmonica, ranging from the invention of the instrument, related musical compositions, and associated musicians. Sturm died in 1977; two years later, her glass harmonica was acquired by the Corning Museum of Glass.
