Biography
Jay Doros (1927-2018) graduated summa cum laude from New York University at the age of 18 and became the youngest person to become a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New Jersey. A successful businessman, Jay became a recognized authority on antique glass.
Jay and his wife Micki were regular attendees of The Corning Museum of Glass’ Annual Seminar, they became active supporters of the Museum. Both Jay and Micki were elected Museum Fellows, and together they were founding members of the Museum’s Ennion Society. Jay served as president of the Fellows from 2015 to 2017. The couple originally focused their collections on cut glass, then art glass, and eventually turned their attention to Tiffany glass, jewelry, and other works.
