Biography

Lawrence G. Wright, also known as Si Wright, was the son of Silas and Rosa Gasser Wright. He founded the L. G. Wright Glass Company with his wife, Verna Mae Wright, in 1938. Wright started his career as a glass salesman. Under the auspices of the company, he bought old glass molds and commissioned various glass manufacturers to use them to create reproduction pieces. His company then sold the reproduction pieces to retailers throughout the United States. Lawrence G. Wright died in 1969.
