Biography
Kate Elliott began her career in glass as a student of Harvey Littleton at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1971. Elliott was among the earliest participants at the Pilchuck Glass School. She later taught Professional Practices for Artists at the School, served as acting director and serves on the Trustee Circle. She was the artistic and business assistant to Dale Chihuly and the secretary of the Sculpture Department at Rhode Island School of Design. Elliott worked as a private art dealer specializing in glass in Arizona and Washington. She is a certified appraiser of contemporary studio glass based in Oregon.

Scope and Contents
This small manuscript collection consists mainly of correspondence between staff at the Pilchuck Glass School as they assembled a comprehensive list of glass artists from around the world who would eventually receive program materials from the School. Included is Fritz Dreisbach's request for artists’ contact information, a list of recipients, and their replies, as well as the final list of glass artists. Marvin Lipofsky contributed a significant number of artists to the list....
