Biography
Jack Whistance was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1921 and worked in the aircraft industry in during World War II and the Korean War. In 1954, he and his wife, MaryEllen, moved to Kingston, New York and opened an antiques business, known as Lock, Stock and Barrel Antiques and Jack & MaryEllen Antiques. He became a respected authority on early blown glass, toy marbles, and colonial American furniture and folk art. He and his wife ran their antiques business for over 50 years, and he died in 2007.
