Biography

William Warmus is best known for his work as an art critic, author, and glass curator and appraiser. Born in 1953, Warmus studied at the University of Chicago, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in art history in 1975. He was Curator of Modern Glass at The Corning Museum of Glass from 1978 to 1984 and editor of Glass Quarterly magazine from 1986 to 1989. Warmus was also the founding editor of New Glass Review (1979). He is the author or co-author of more than 15 books on glass artists and the history of glassmaking.
