Biography

The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass is a glassmaking school founded in 1996. Hosting instructors, students, and artists-in-residence from around the world, the Studio offers classes in glassblowing, flameworking, kiln casting, hot sculpting, engraving, cold working, fusing, gilding, sandblasting. The Studio also provides Make Your Own Glass experiences for Museum visitors without previous experience in glassworking.

Amy Schwartz, the founding director of the Studio, joined The Corning Museum of Glass in 1995.
