Charles Yockel, a German immigrant, made molds and presses for glass bottle and jar manufacturing in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His business is first listed in the Philadelphia city directories in 1862, and he initially worked with business partner John Weidig. Yockel's sons eventually took over the business, which operated until the mid-1940s.

Scope and Contents Personal papers of a glass bottle collector and American glass researcher, which include records collected from the Charles Yockel firm of Philadelphia, a manufacturer of glass molds.

The papers are divided into three series:
