Biography

Comité international de l'ICOM pour les musées et collections du verre is one of thirty international committees of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). Its English name is ICOM International Committee for Museums and Collections of Glass.

The committee held its first meeting in 1959. Since 1977, the committee has met annually to discuss the conservation and history of glass. It also sponsors the exchange of information about glass curation among museum professionals and publishes resources useful to its members.
